The Truth about Masons and the Masonic Lodge:

In the times we live in it seems that the church is without God’s power. We have rejected the authority of God’s word and as a result, we have slowly but surely quit teaching pure Bible doctrine. Without doctrine, there is no authority and without authority, there is no power. When we reject the pure teaching of God’s word, idolatry is soon to follow. One of the factors in the decline of true spirituality in our churches is the influence of the Masonic Lodge.

This study will compare masonry with the word of God. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God might be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” II Timothy:3:16-17 [16] Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spoileth, and fleeth away. [17] Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are. . “Search the Scriptures: for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” John:5:39No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

The foundation of this entire study is Jude 3 & 4 “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God~ and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

There is only one way to heaven. “Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” John:14:6And they could not answer him again to these things. .

We are saved by grace through faith. We cannot earn our way to heaven by our works. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians:2:8(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) & 9

When a mason receives the lambskin apron he is told that the lambskin is to remind him of the pure life and conduct that is necessary to obtain admittance into heaven where God dwells. Our salvation is not dependent upon purity of life or good conduct, but upon the blood of Jesus Christ. “But Christ becoming a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not this building; neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh; how much more should the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.” Hebrews:9:11-15

The apron itself is a symbol of salvation by works. To even hint that a pure life and good conduct is the means by which one enters heaven is to trample the blood of God’s Son under foot. “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” Romans:3:19-24 [19] Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. [20] And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: [21] Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. [22] For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. [23] And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. [24] Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

Satan is the master deceiver. “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers’ also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” II Corinthians:11:13-15

Satan is said to be an angel of light. In the first three degrees of masonry the one to be initiated is told to ask for light, further light, and more light. The unsuspecting man had no idea that he is seeking the angel of light, Satan, as we will discover later in this study. 

Now let’s look at the difference between the doctrine of Christianity and the teaching of masonry. We know, as Christians, that the Bible is God’s Word. It is without question God’s complete, final, and on~ revelation to man as we stated in II Timothy:3:16-17 [16] Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spoileth, and fleeth away. [17] Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are. above. “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” II Peter:1:20-21 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: and if any man shall take away the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Revelation:22:18-19 

Masonic authority Albert Pike says the Bible is incomplete and doesn’t convey complete truth. Every good mason has heard of Pike and the mason who completes the 32nd degree gets his book called Morals and Dogma. If you check around used bookstores and yard sales it can be found. Pike is wrong! The Bible is complete and it does very accurately, very perfectly give us God’s truth.

We know that Christianity is built upon Jesus. “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God; but made Himself of no reputation, and took on Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God hath also highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, of things in the earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”  Philippians:2:6-11 [6] The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved. [7] And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts. [8] But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back. [9] Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture. [10] She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness. [11] Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them afraid? In the ritual of the lodge when Scripture is used, the name of Jesus is removed. Mr. Mackey, another masonic authority, says that it is a slight but necessary modification! You may as well remove the brain from a human, in which case he is nothing but a cold, lifeless corpse!

By its very nature, Christianity condemns all other religions. “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed. For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” II John:1:9-11 [9] According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. [10] And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense. [11] And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby, know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: And this is the spirit of antichrist, hereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is in the world.” I John:4:1-3 [1] And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, [2] Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. [3] And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

Make no mistake, masonry is a religion. Albert Pike says the lodge is a temple, a temple of religion no less! He also says that masonry teaches religious beliefs.

Henry Coil, another masonic authority, admits that masonry has a religious service when a mason dies and declares that his belief in the lodge is his guarantee of entering heaven! Masonic authority, Albert Lackey also declares masonry is religious. In the lodge there is an altar, an altar is for religious purposes. Masonry is by its very nature a religious institution. It can’t be denied. So if it is a religion, and it is, then Christianity by its very nature condemns it. A belief in prayers to God, the use of a Bible, and an altar in the lodge all add up to a religion. Any argument to the contrary is not valid.

Masonry then is a religion, a false religion that can be classified as a cult. They teach another way of salvation. They cast doubt on the authority of Scripture and in the first few degrees; they lie to and deceive those who are initiated into the lodge.

Mr. Pike says that the secrets of masonry are hidden and that the unsuspecting initiate is lied to and intentionally deceived. One only needs read his book to see the deception.

Christianity is not about deception. It is not about secret. It is about the truth. “These are the things that ye shall do; speak ye every man the gates: and let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor and love no false oath: for all these are the things that I hate, saith the Lord. Zechariah:8:16-17 “Wherefore put away lying, speak every man the truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.” Ephesians:4:25For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. “Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.” John:18:20Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

Christianity is based on truth. Any religion that is based on lying and deception should be avoided. I would not belong to any organization or religious institution that willfully, intentionally lied to me!

The Christian worships the God of the Bible, the Creator who ha shown Himself to us in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ. “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John:1:14And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He ma& the worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when H~ had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high;” Hebrews:1:1-3 [1] Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer, [2] And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house: [3] Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mr. Pike says that all of the world’s religions can all gather and pray to Baalim. This is nothing but the spirit of the antichrist at work.

The blasphemy is continued in the Royal Arch degree. It is here that we discover the secret name of the deity of masonry. The name is Jaobulon. Jao is a Greek word for Jehovah, bul is a rendering of the name Baal, on is the term used in the Babylonian mysteries to call upon Osiris. The name is said by three men each saying a part of the name. Can you imagine a born-again man participating in such ungodly blasphemy!

That brings us to the legend of Osiris. Osiris is the sun god of the Egyptians who has a striking similarity to the masonic legend of Hiram Abiff. If you will study the legend of Osiris, you will discover that a valuable thing was possessed, which was a kingdom. Hiram also possessed a very valuable thing, which is the master’s word.  In the legend of Osiris there is a conspiracy to kill Osiris. Hiram is also conspired against by twelve fellowcrafts.

In both stories there is a conflict. Typhon kills Osiris and three ruffians kill Hiram. In both stories we find a body buried at the foot of a tree. In both stories there are searches for the bodies.  Isis searches for the scattered parts of Osiris’ body and finds all parts but one. It is his penis that is missing. She substitutes the phallus for the missing penis.  Hiram’s body is also found, but the master’s word is missing. At the raising of Hiram, the first word spoken became the master’s word. 

So we see that the legend of Osiris and the legend of Hiram are one and the same. Just read about Osiris and compare the legend of Hiram and you will see! The highly regarded master’s word symbolizes the penis of the Egyptian legend. If anyone doubts that these stories are the same just read Albert Pike’s book. 

One would think that such idolatry could only have as its basis Satan himself. Remember that we said in II Corinthians:11:13-15 that Satan is an angel of light. Mr. Pike says that Lucifer himself is the Lightbearer of masonry! He even says that Satan created Adam and Eve!

Believe what you will, I believe John:1:3It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, “All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.” We know this verse speaks of Jesus Christ. I believe the Genesis account that we are made in the image and likeness of God from the dust of the earth. We cannot have it both ways. Either accept the authority of the word of God and denounce masonry, or accept the god of masonry and spend an eternity in the regions of the damned.

Many people believe that the mason and especially the Shriners do so much good work that they must be a good organization. I remind you that we have already discussed that salvation is not of works lest any man should boast. “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: Depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew:7:21-23 “As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one.” Romans:3:10And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. We are not saved by being good. The blood of Jesus Christ saves us. Good people do not go to heaven, saved people do!

Let’s talk about the Shriners. Masonic sources tell us that the Shriner kneels and takes his oath in the name of Allah the god of the Arab, Moslem and Mohammed.  I don’t know about you, but Allah is not my God. To kneel and acknowledge Allah is equivalent to spitting in the face of the Holy God of heaven.

The first commandment declares “Thou shalt have none other gods before me.” No Christian can bow before another god. It is open blasphemy to do so. Everyone knows that Islam is the blood enemy of Christianity.

Speaking of the blood, have you ever wondered where the red hat called the “Fez” came from? Remember a Shriner is a member of the ancient Arabic order, nobles of the mystic shrine. In Morocco there is a city called Fas or Fez. The city was known for making a red hat called a Tashboosh, now known as a Fez. Muslim students attending a school in that city wore the Fez. The Fez, according to masonic teaching, is a mark of learning and scholarship.

The red color of the Fez commemorates a bloody slaughter of Christians in the city of Fez, Morocco in 980 AD. Muslims overran the city. Their cry was, “There is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet.” Fifty thousand Christians were brutally murdered, including women and children. The blood of the martyred Christians literally ran in the streets. The Muslim murderers dipped their hats in their victim’s blood as a testimony to Allah.

So the “do good Shriners” wear a little red hat called a Fez that was originally manufactured to commemorate the murder of Christians. “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.” Matthew:12:30 “And Elijah came unto all the people and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” I Kings:18:21

What will you do? Accept the authority of Scripture and the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the blood He shed on the cross for your sin or will you accept the false authority of the masons and the blasphemous oaths and hide behind a lambskin apron?

The first man hid behind an apron, his name was Adam. He sewed fig leaves together and made him an apron. But his own efforts could not save him and put him in right standing with God. Only the blood of Jesus can make a man right with God.

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold, from your own conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot.” I Peter:1:18-19 You don’t need the skin of a lamb, you need the blood of the Lamb!

A man who has been exposed to the truth of this study should renounce all oaths made at the altar of freemasonry in the name of Jesus and in the power of His blood. “I am alive forevermore amen, and have the keys of hell and death.” Revelation:1:18How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
